St. Nicholas School 5K Trick or Trot Race

Fall into a fun event for the whole family.   Dress up in your craziest costume and trek to the Trick or Trot on Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m.   There is a 5K for the runners and a Monster Mile fun run / walk for the little rascals.   Of course, the costume is optional and not required.  It's a low-carb, fat-free Halloween treat for everybody.   As you can see from the pictures taken at last year’s race, there will be lots of fun shared by all!

This race will benefit St. Nicholas, an independent Episcopal School.  This is a fun and festive event.  All pre-registered participants for both the 5K Trick or Trot and the Monster Mile will be guaranteed a top quality LONG SLEEVE t-shirt.  All Monster mile youth participants will receive a ribbon.  The details of the race are outlined below.

The race will begin at US Xpress at 4080 Jenkins Road off of I-75 at the Collegedale exit.  The 5K race will start at 2:00 p.m. and the Monster Mile will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Late registration and packet pick up will begin at 12:30 p.m.  Entry fees will be $15 for the 5K Run if registering prior to October 16.  After that date, the entry fee will be $20.  The Monster Mile entry fee will be $15.

The 5K race is a competitive event with awards in both age and gender categories.  The Monster Mile is a non-competitive event to encourage everyone, especially families to walk, run, jog, or stroll for a healthy lifestyle.    We will have plenty of post-race refreshments.  There will also be a random drawing for door prizes.

The 5K race is an out and back.  The course follows Jenkins Road crossing Standifer Gap.  Turn right on Pinewood and complete the Cedarton Court loop to return to US Xpress.  The course is relatively flat.

Please check the Chattanooga Track Club web page under “other races” for additional information and an application.  You may also register at www.active.com.  Please contact Wendy Richardson at 706-937-3707 with questions.

At St. Nicholas School, our goal is to help children become lifelong learners and to foster individual initiative and independence.  Special thanks to our present sponsors US Xpress Enterprises, Armstrong Relocation, Baylor School, Country Suites, David Rankine MD, DiStefano Regional Eye Center, GPS, McCallie School, and Mike & Debbie Brown Financial Advisors. Look for other sponsors at the race and on your T-shirt.  Thanks for special assistance from Chattanooga Track Club, Hamilton County Rescue Service, and Coca-Cola.
