Goetz and Lefort Conquer Missionary Ridge

August 8, 2009 (Chattanooga, TN) – Joseph Goetz, 26, won the John Bruner Memorial Missionary Ridge Road Race on Saturday August 8, 2009. Goetz covered the 4.7 mile course in 25:32, averaging a 5:25 per mile pace. Sabrina Lefort, 22, was the female champion, with a time of 31:02 (6:36 per mile pace).

Tim Ensign, 46, won the male masters division, finishing the course in 26:30 (5:38 pace). Jan Gautier, 44, won the female masters division in a time of 32:02 (6:48 pace). 

Lee Meadows, 70, won the Arnold Godwin award for the oldest participant in the race.

This year marks the 36th running of the Missionary Ridge Road Race. A total of 175 runners competed in this year’s event.
