Selbo and Gautier Conquer Signal Mountain Pie Run
October 17, 2009 (Signal Mtn, TN) – Nick Selbo, 30, won the Signal Mountain Pie Run held at the former Signal Mountain Middle School on Saturday October 17, 2009. Selbo covered the 10k course in 34 minutes, 18 seconds, averaging 5:32 pace per mile. Jan Gautier, 44, was the female champion with a winning time of 42 minutes, 14 seconds (6:48 per mile). Les Conner, 40, won the male masters division, completing the course in 38:57. Belinda Young, 40, won the female masters division in a time of 46:39. Sergio Bianchini, 68, was the male grand masters division champion, finishing in 43:51. Patsy Ging, 55, won the female grand masters division in a time of 54:45. The race was made possible through the hard work of many volunteers and the generosity of the event’s corporate sponsors. The 2009 Signal Mountain Pie Race was a Chattanooga Track Club event and was sponsored by Davis & Hoss, Attorneys at Law, The Bread Basket, Front Runner Athletics, BXC 2009, Doug Torrance, Jr. DDS, Fast Break Athletics, Coca Cola, and Walden Ridge Emergency Service.
