TIMING AND EQUIPMENT SERVICES

The Chattanooga Track Club offers timing services, equipment services, or equipment rental for races being held in the Chattanooga area.  Please contact our Timing Manager for information regarding pricing and availability:   TimingManager@ChattanoogaTrackClub.org. CTC can provide advise on all aspects of putting on a quality event. Course measurement and USATF course certification can also be done.

Please note that a contract requiring signature will be issued for services and/or equipment rental.  Invoice for rental or services provided will be issued after the event.

EQUIPMENT:

Race Director must plan to coordinate pick up and drop off equipment before/after the race.  Typically pick up will occur the Friday prior to the event and drop off will occur the Monday following the event.
 
NOTE:  Equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was received.  Lessee will sign an agreement agreeing to cost and assuming responsibility for damages while in possession of equipment.

-          Hand Timing System

-          Miscellaneous race equipment (bullhorn, cones, water dispensers, etc.) - depending on availability.

 

TIMING AND EQUIPMENT SERVICE:

Before entering into a timing service or equipment rental agreement, several factors are considered.  The list below indicates prerequisites for CTC entering into an agreement with a third party event. 


We will ask for the following prior to committing to timing or equipment services:

v  Confirmed race date w/all permits & insurance in place.  

v  Course is identified including start, finish and water stop/aid station locations (marked map requested).

v  Registration information is available (or ready to be made available).

v  Race day volunteer plan is in place.  Specifically volunteers related to course safety (sentries and aid station volunteers). 

 

-          Chip Timing:  CTC provides timing staff to time your event using state-of-the-art chip timing.  Bib chips are used (chips attach to the back of race bib). Generic bibs are provided though custom bibs are an option (added cost and additional lead-time needed). A race clock is also placed at the finish line.  CTC staff will time the event, provide race results race morning and post results to CTC website.

-          Equipment Services: CTC provides staff member with equipment trailer containing items needed to put on a professional race.   Race must provide volunteers to place equipment on course and at race venue.   CTC staff will assist with unloading trailer and finish line set up.   Trailer includes:  finish line arch, tents, folding tables, chairs, finish line pylons & ropes, trash bags/trash cans, 5 x 20 gallon PowerAde water dispensers (fluids not included), course directional arrows, mile markers, portable PA, generator and other miscellaneous race supplies.  Ask if we have what you are looking for - we probably do!
