WOODSTOCK 5K, Anniston, AL – Saturday, August 1, 2009 - $2,400 in Cash Prizes (including masters winners)

Come participate in the 29th running of Anniston Runners Club Woodstock 5K- this year’s Road Runners Club of America National 5K Championship and last year’s RRCA Road Race of the Year!

Considered by many as the “oldest footrace in the south,” the Woodstock 5K starts on historic Woodstock Avenue right by the Anniston High School parking lot. Runners receive a technical shirt, best goody bag around, and chances to win $3,000 in door prizes, $2,400 in cash prizes and coveted Woodstock bobblehead trophies.

The motherload of all carbo loads - Packet Pickup Pasta Pigout is free Friday, July 31 at Classic on Noble, downtown Anniston, from 5 – 7 p.m. Last chance to register for the race!

Saturday, August 1
-- No race day registration.
Packet pickup from 6-7 a.m.;
Woodstock 5K starts at 7:30 a.m.
Kidstock 1Mile
Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
Post-race party and mini-festival immediately following race.

Proceeds benefit United Cerebral Palsy and Special Olympics.

Woodstock 5K
Before July 1: $25 entry fee ($20 for Anniston Runners Club Members)
After July 1: $30 entry fee for ALL

Kidstock 1 Mile Run/Walk
Before July 1: $12 entry fee ($10 for Anniston Runners Club Members)
After July 1: $15 Entry fee for ALL entrants

All runners must wear a Championchip timing chip, which you will pick up race morning, and cross the timing mats during the race to be scored.
Awards will be based on chip time, not gun time.

Woodstock 5K – Overall Awards include 1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall awards, Masters, Grandmasters, Great Grandmasters, and Great-Great Grandmasters Awards – win coveted Woodstock bobblehead awards and cash prizes. Age Group Awards, Clydesdale and Athena Awards, Team Challenge Awards, and Specialty Division Awards will be awarded, too.

Kidstock 1 Mile - Everyone is welcome to run or walk the 1 Mile, but only 14-year olds and younger will be eligible for awards.
