Sportsbarn Turkey Trot 2023

About the Race

Chattanooga's longest standing Thanksgiving road race returns this year at the Sportsbarn East for its 33rd running!!  

This historic family tradition road race and family walk is hosted by the Chattanooga Track Club, The Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga and Chattanooga's longest standing and most beloved sports club, the Sportsbarn!

Please know that proceeds from our race help promote running and fitness through the Chattanooga Track Club and by providing direct support to our local community members who suffer with kidney disease through the efforts of The Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.

Hosted each year at the SportsBarn East, this event is all about health, and fun, so sign up now and start your Thanksgiving morning with a full-on 8k race or a more leisurely (non-competive) 3 mile family walk & fun run with your family and favorite furry four-legger! 

Race Events

• Kiddie-K begins at 8:30 am. (6/10 of a mile run for 12-under)
• 3 Mile Family Walk / Jog begins at 8:45 am
• 8k Race begins at 9:00 am

Families / Groups of 5 or more:  Please contact us via TurkeyTrot @ ChattanoogaTrackClub.org  (no spaces) for a personal family / group discount code.

Dogs and strollers are welcome in both the 3 mile and 8k events (outside only - no dogs allowed inside the Sportsbarn!).  Please do be considerate of other participants and especially be sure and try to not cross paths with returning runners who may be working hard to get their best times or catch that one person ahead of them!

T-Shirt Availability:  In order to guarantee you are able to get your shirt in your size, please register no later than Friday, November 3.  We do order some extras to try to ensure everyone gets a shirt, but once we run out of any given size, we run out and we will not order additional shirts post-race, nor will there be any discounts for late registrations that do not recevie a shirt in their preferred size.  Leftover shirts will be donated to non-profits to help clothe those in need.  The $ spent on leftover shirts, while we do donate them, represent money that is not able to support the Kidney Foundation progams and work for our community or Chattanooga Track Club programs supporting running, walking and fitness in our community.

    • Cash award $100 each
  • 1st Place Top Overall Masters Winners for male and female

  • 1st Place Top Overall Senior Grand Masters Winners for male and female
    • Cash award $50 each
  • Age Group Awards - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place for male and female in the following age groups:
    • 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

**CTC has a no refund policy.  This is due to Planning, Purchasing, Ordering deadlines etc to prepare for a race.  We are sorry if circumstances prevent you from participating after you have registered on-line.  Please contact the Race Director if you would like to Defer your entry to 2024.  Thank you for understanding.**
