The Pie Run Turns 50: Medals, Technical Shirts and (Of Course) Pie

For half a century, the Signal Mountain Pie Run has kept it simple: run the brow, catch the sunrise, earn a pie. Since we’re celebrating our 50th this year, there’s pie and a whole lot more.

Don’t worry. Everything that makes the Pie Run so special is still there.

You’ll start and finish at Pruett’s Market, a family-owned store that hosts our race morning celebration. On the course, high school students will hand you water and neighbors will ring their cowbells. You’ll enjoy sunrise from East Brow Road with trees starting their fall colors. Cheerleaders, biscuits, pie, and good company will greet you at the finish. It’s more county fair than finish line, and that’s exactly the point.
